Lake August 29, 2010 Well, the nippy weather came in with some strong breezes this weekend. Not sure if it’s the nippy fall weather or just some isolated cold weather, but it felt pretty darn nippy this morning.
The catching remained good despite the w-i-n-d. You all should know the scoop by now. But just in case, in the inlets Salmon Eggs, NightCrawlers, PowerBait and jigs.
Those trolling are using flashers and a NightCrawler or just an Olive WoolyBugger, Lures with a bit of red, or a NightCrawler (DON’T FORGET THAT SWIVEL). Drifting and enjoying the scenery while using PowerBait or a NightCrawler, or from shore fishing with Salmon Eggs, PowerBait or NightCrawlers also working well.

August 29, 2010 The South Lake water level is starting to creep down now but it is still very high - which is a good thing indeed. Cooler temps are on the way early next week and we've had a few days of fall-like wind this week so most of us are hoping for a quick return of the more typical summer weather for the holiday weekend. The 2 tandem Kayaks, 14 motor boats and 4 pontoon boats are all still available for rent at South Lake. The parking situation continues to improve as the crowds lighten....thank goodness. The flows in the South Fork of Bishop Creek have increased a bit but it’s still very fishable.
