
PRADO REGIONAL PARK FISHING REPORT

Catfish action remained slow to fair with anglers catching the cats on shrimp and mealworm/ marshmellow combo. Best action has been in basin #2. Bass action remains slow on soft plastics, and bluegill remain good on pieces of shrimp and worms. Last week was the final stock of catfish for the season and trout are scheduled for November.

Catfish action showed some life this past holiday weekend with most stringers yielding 3 to four cats with some anglers bagging their limits before eleven o'clock. Fish have been averaging pound n a quarter to pound and a half. top baits have been mealworm/ marshmellow and shrimp. Best spot has been from the playground point to lot #8. Bass action remains steady on soft plastics, and bluegill action remains good for those targeting them with mealworms, wax worms, or shrimp.

Catfish action remains slow with a few anglers pulling near limits at times. Cats have been hitting shrimp, mackerel, and nightcrawlers. Best spot has been from the playground point to lot 8. Bluegill action remains hot on worms. Bass action remains fair. No carp reports. California state fishing license i s required, but will not be required on Monday Sept 7th for the free (no fishing license) fishing day. Anglers will still need to pay for the fishing permit.
